01 / PROJECT OVERVIEW

An experience with a clear purpose.

Webakoof designed and developed Vakibh (वाकीभ), a Marathi digital literature and cultural heritage platform dedicated to preserving Maharashtra's rich saint literature and Warkari traditions. The website brings together biographies of prominent Marathi saints, Abhangs, Ovis, Aartis, spiritual Granths, and educational blog articles within a structured digital library. Featuring Marathi and English language options, categorized literary collections, individual saint profiles, and accessible navigation, the platform creates an engaging online destination for readers, devotees, researchers, and enthusiasts of Marathi spiritual literature.

02

The challenge

The primary challenge was organizing an extensive collection of traditional Marathi spiritual literature into a modern, accessible digital platform. The website needed to accommodate different literary formats, including Abhangs, Ovis, Aartis, Granths, and saint biographies, while preserving the cultural authenticity of the content. Ensuring readable Marathi typography, intuitive navigation, bilingual accessibility, and efficient content discovery across multiple literary categories were important considerations.

03

The solution

A culturally inspired digital literature website was developed with dedicated sections for saints, spiritual texts, Abhangs, Aartis, and educational articles. The platform organizes literary content into clearly defined categories and provides individual pages for prominent Marathi saints. Marathi and English language options, traditional typography, intuitive navigation, and a responsive interface improve content accessibility. The homepage highlights literary collections, saint profiles, and recent compositions, creating a structured browsing experience that combines cultural heritage with modern website design.
